Class Descriptions:

 

Yoga(Tues & Thurs 6:45am 45min): Yoga is a series of carefully designed postures with a strong emphasis on breathing, concentration, and flexibility. Strengthen the body while calming the mind.  For beginners to advanced.

 

Power Yoga +(Wed 5:15pm 45 min)This is the next level up from our basic Yoga class. All the same great benefits of traditional Yoga taken to the next levels with longer holds and more advanced postures. Great for all levels but targeted to those with Yoga experience looking for a greater challenge.

 

Zumba(Tues 5:15pm, 45 min):   The Zumba® program fuses Latin Pop and R&B rhythms, with easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness dance program. No dance experience is required as our certified instructors will develop the routines over several classes to allow for beginner to advanced participants to master all the moves.

 

Spin (Tues & Thurs 12:10pm, 40 min):  Performed on indoor cycles, combines basic cycling moves with motivational music and coaching to give you a unique exercise experience. This is an enjoyable, safe and effective workout for ALL fitness levels.

 

Virtual Reality (VR) Spinnervals (Mon, Wed, Thurs @ 6:15pm, 45min.) Watch and cycle to a great spinning DVD workout on our 42" flat screen TV. Follow along as you accompany a group of cyclist thru a variety of terrain, and challenges sure to push you over the finish line.  

Functional Fitness(Mon 9:30am, 60 min)

Get fit to function in everyday life - at work or at play. This class is designed for the individual who wishes to maintain or improve strength, balance and flexibility. Using load bearing activities, supplemented with low impact and proprioceptively enriched exercises, these exercises mirror basic human movement patterns and metabolic demands

 

Cardio Crunch(Wed 9:30am, 60min): Agreat combination of cardio and core conditioning. The first half of class is cardio specific and will utilize a variety of moves and equipment to enhance and challenge the lungs and heart. The second half will be a core specific routine designed to strengthen all the major muscles of the core, abs, oblique’s, and low back.

 

Pylata: (Tues 12:10, 40min) A combination of Yoga and Pilates exercises combined with strength training and core stability We offer over 40 fitness classes per week to provide a variety of cross training options and for the enjoyment of our members.  Everyone has a choice of land, water, cycling and individual training programs tailored to their need.

 

 20/20/20(Fri 9:30am, 60 min):  20 minutes of Cardio, 20 minutes of toning and 20 minutes of stretching a great combination to end the week.

 

STEP & Pump:(Mon @ 12:10, 40 min& Thurs @ 5:15, 40min):  A combination of step & body sculpting exercises for a total body workout! This class includes strengthening, and stretching. Elements will include steps, free weights, body bars, and bands.

 

Calorie Killer: (Tues & Thurs 12:10pm, 40 min) Based on the turbulence training protocol this effective calorie burning routine alternates between high weight-low rep strength training exercises, and  high intensity cardio bursts of 1-2 minutes in duration.

               

Cardio Kick: (Wed@ 12:10pm, 40min) A high energy kickboxing style class designed to help you punch and kick your way to a fitter stronger physique.

 

Tabata Intervals(Fri @ 12:10, 40 min & Mon/Fri @ 12:55, 35min)Tabata protocol is a high intensity training that produces remarkable results. Short periods of recovery tax your aerobic and anaerobic energy systems. U will work all the major muscle groups and get a high intensity cardio and muscular endurance workout.*Must have a minimum of 7 participants

 

 

Power Pump: (Wed 12:55, 35 min) A class designed to strengthen and tone while increasing power and endurance. Power thru various strength training exercises using dumbbells, Kettlebells and body bars.

 

Combat Challenge:(Tues @ 5:15pm 40 min):  This class really KICKS things into high gear, training your body military style with cardio kickboxing, balance and strength sequences using bands, bosu’s, bars and weights.  This class is sure to have your body ready for anything!

 

SuperSweat (Sat 9:00am, 60min):This group fitness class will have you a sweating to the beat. A full body workout while maintaining a hi-tempo with a fun and fast paced cardio component.

 

 

Cross Spin (Mon 4:45/5:15-6pm)This is a combo class utilizing traditional spin workouts condensed into 30 minutes of high intensity intervals, followed by 45min of total body conditioning in the MPR. Can be done as individual classes as well.

 

Ballet-Fit: (Tues 7pm 40min) Blending cardio training, ballet stretching & conditioning, yoga, dance technique, and some super fun movement.   This class is for all levels and abilities. Dancer or not, it will be a great workout.

 

Surf & Turf: (Thurs 7:30-8pm, MPR, 8:10-8:50 Shallow Comp Pool) This class will start off in the MPR and provide a cardio warm-up followed by toning and core work, then we will transfer to the pool for a 40 minute full body workout in the Shallow Competition Pool. Using the hydro gloves for added resistance and being in chest deep water we will be able to maximize both lower and upper body exercises to really heat up the pool.

IN POOL:

 

Hydro Splash (Tues9am/12:10pm45 min)

A great Zero impact cardio workout focusing on running technique and stride patterns with short intense burst of intervals to get the heart racing. Great for Runners!

 

Hydro Flow (Thurs9am/12:10pm45min)

Try a unique approach to CORE Strength building in this fun and energizing aqua class. Zero impact to the joints with all movements designed to target the major muscle groups of the core in a slower, more controlled deep water class. 

 

Hydro Challenge(Tues/Thurs 5:15pm 45min)A combination of aqua running to build cardio aqua flow to build core strength and an extra component of resistance tools to help build muscular strength and endurance and help tighten and tone from head to toe.

 

Aquacise(Mon, Wed & Fri 12:10pm, 40 min, Mon, Tues & Wed 8:10pm, 40 min, Sun 4:15pm, 45min):  Don’t be afraid to get your feet wet! Just the same as aerobics but we are in waist high water. You don’t need to know how to swim to participate. A water-supported exercise class designed to get your heart pumping and muscles working through the resistance of water.

Aqua-Fit (Wed @ 12:10 pm & Thurs 8:10pm, 40min)Just like regular aquacise but a bit more challenging in the deeper chest high water of the comp pool. This format is designed to be less stress on the joints but more work for those muscles.

 

Arthritics(Mon & Wed 1:30pm, 45 min) *Specialty program=Free to members*   Water fitness program with arthritis in mind.  Program designed to help those with arthritic conditions maintain good range of motion, general strength and stamina. 

 

Fitting into Fitness(Wed 6pm, 60 min) *Specialty Program=Free to members*

Suitable for those with special limitations, ideal for people recovering from an illness or an injury or simply want a milder water class.  Use the resistance of the water to safely strengthen muscles and joints without gravity

 

Fit Swim(Sat 7:30am & Thurs 6pm, 60 min, & Mon & Wed 12:10pm, 40 min) *Free to members*
